The Department of Medieval Studies is delighted to announce its program of public lectures for Winter term 2023.
On Wednesdays at 17:40, speakers will discuss a wide range of medieval topics, from Byzantine philosophy to medievalisms, and the reconstruction of Notre Dame to Catholic missionaries in India. The lectures are followed by a reception where students, faculty and members of the public can discuss the lecture with the speaker over a glass of wine. In the Fall term, lecture topics included Slovakian mines, Cszech prayer books and an informative description of how to steal the Hungarian royal crown.
We hope that this term's topics will be equally as wide-ranging and informative.
Each lecture will be hybrid; online via zoom and in person in CEU's Vienna campus. The link will be published for each lecture,. Please check our events page a few days in advance for more information.
