Medieval Studies Alumna Wins Literary Prize

Sincere congratulations to Kateřina Horníčková and  Michal Šroněk, whose edited work "Umění české reformace 1380–1620" (The Art of the Bohemian Reformation 1380-1620, http://magnesia-litera.cz/letosni_litera/nominace#b134) was selected by the committee of Magnesia Littera book competition (Czech Republic) as the second best in "scholarly work" category.

Medieval Studies Post-doc Wins Research Position at Max Planck Institute

Antonin Kalous'  book on Matthias Corvinus (1443-1490). King of Hungary and Bohemia is among the three candidates for "The book of the year" prize in the Czech Republic. Antonin Kalous (http://upol.academia.edu/AntoninKalous) was an MA student at the Medieval Studies department in the academic year 1999-2000.

Anna Somfai Wins ERC-HU Grant

As one of two CEU researchers, Dr Anna Somfai, Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Medieval Studies, won a highly prestigious ERC-HU grant for the academic year 2009/10 to academic year 2011/12 period.
